“CQC Inspection Reports are designed to check
whether we are meeting government standards...”

Waypoints’ comments on our recent CQC Report

We obviously feel very disappointed to have received the recent CQC rating for our Plymouth home, especially in light of our two other homes achieving ‘good’ status.

We always strive to ensure our normal high levels of care at our home, but recognise that any service also needs to look to continually improve. So we have put together an action plan to help make the home the best it can be.  This includes:

  • Our new home manager, Samuel Snelling, overseeing all of the plan with many actions already completed or in progress.
  • Following  new procedures to ensure that people’s needs are met and that staff can respond quicker to varying care needs throughout the day and night.
  • Creating more regular communication and interaction in a person-centred manner.

Our goal still remains the same; to ensure that every resident is cared for with compassion, empathy and dignity and that everyone is receiving appropriate support tailored to their needs in an environment that is safe.  Our aim is to be recognised as one of the best care homes in Plymouth.
