Waypoints Invites You to Our Beautiful Homes on Care Home Open Day

“Care Home Open Day is an important opportunity to celebrate the unwavering and dedicated efforts of the people who work in the sector, and to invite our local communities to experience first-hand the contribution care professionals make to supporting older and vulnerable people.”

Minister for Community and Social Care Alistair Burt MP

On National Care Home Open Day (Friday 16th June), Waypoints Upton and Waypoints Plymouth invite you to our free Dementia Information Mornings, where you will

  • find out more about living well with dementia
  • be given refreshments including homemade cake
  • offered a guided tour around our home....

For those of you in the Dorset area who are unable to make it on Friday 16th June, we are also holding the same free event at our home in Verwood on Saturday 17th June, followed by a fundraising barbeque in aid of our new sensory room – all welcome!

About the event:

According to the Alzheimer’s Society dementia is set to be the 21st century’s biggest killer. But awareness and understanding remains low and many families are facing it alone.

This needn't be the case.

Waypoints is inviting everyone to come and find out more about living well with dementia.  Whether you're caring for a loved-one living with dementia*, or just want to find out more about the condition, this free event is ideal for you.

If you feel it would be useful for your relatives and friends to attend as well, please feel free to share details of this event with them too - everyone will be made very welcome...

Here are the timings of the event (pre-booking is essential):
