Cake sale at Waypoints Upton in aid of Dementia UK’s Time for a Cuppa fundraiser

Waypoints Raises £250 for Dementia Charity

Waypoints Care has raised £250 by hosting ‘Time for a Cuppa’ events at our Upton and Verwood homes.  Waypoints Upton and Waypoints Verwood held afternoon tea events and welcomed along residents, their relatives and friends, guests, volunteers and staff as part of the nationwide ‘Time for a Cuppa’ fundraising project raising essential funds for Admiral Nurses at Dementia UK.

£170 was raised at the afternoon tea events which Waypoints topped up to make a £250 donation.  Waypoints’ in-house chefs, staff and volunteers all made cakes for the events which were enjoyed by everyone who attended.

Waypoints’ Managing Director Andrew Baxendine said

“our team really got behind the Time for a Cuppa annual fundraiser for Dementia UK – the fundraiser is all about bringing people together, raising funds and having fun – our events certainly did all those!  Also, the money raised goes towards a really worthwhile cause funding Admiral Nurses who support families living with dementia - a cause very close to our hearts.”
